A PODCAST SERIES GUIDED BY NATURE
Lifeworlds is an intimate dialogue with our planet’s ecologies and with those who are translators and bridges between the human and beyond-human.
Our guests are farmers, lawyers, scientists, investors, indigenous scholars, artists, and many more — with them, we explore the mindsets, skills and actions required to forge deep connections with nature and to enter into close relationship with the lifeworlds of other beings.
Why does this matter? We believe that it is through the doorway of inhabiting and understanding multiple perspectives that we can begin to heal a modern culture and psyche that is steeped in duality. We have lost our place as humans amongst all life. This is our prayer and call for healing, play, engagement and wonder.

We only exist because of the countless organisms and natural phenomena that make up the soul of the world. The aim of the podcast is to illuminate these lifeworlds, making them accessible, visible, and beautiful. By restoring our relationship with nature, and learning what it is to be nature, we begin to restore ourselves.
YOUR HOST,
ALEXA FIRMENICH
My work is guided by the boundless question of how to rekindle the innate biophilia of human beings. How do we begin to see everything in nature as vividly alive, intelligent, and related to us? I've tried to answer this from a range of perspectives, whether as a political scientist, sustainability consultant, journalist, investor, deep ecology facilitator, wilderness guide, essayist, and occasional poet.
